Dothan Police Seeking Identity of Alleged Robber

The Dothan Police Department responded to the 100 block of Gaines Street today after an attempted robbery of a person.

Investigators say an unknown black male approached and demanded money from the victim who was working on one of the homes in the neighborhood. The suspect was knocked down by the victim and then ran off towards Madison Avenue without any of the person’s property.

The suspect is described as being a black male, approximately 25 to 30-years-old of age and last seen wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.

Police are asking anyone with information about the case or identity of the suspect to call the Dothan Police Department at 334-615-300.

Community members wanting to assist anonymously can either call the Crime Stoppers Tip Line at (334) 793-7000 or text the word ‘DACS’ and your Tip to CRIME (274637).

The Dothan Police Department will stringently guard and protect the identities of all those who wish to help in an anonymous capacity.
