Dothan Police Investigate Christmas Eve Firearm Assault

DOTHAN, AL - On December 24, 2012 the Dothan Police Department responded to a firearm assault that occurred in the vicinity of Johnson Homes. The victim, an adult male was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for injuries from an apparent shot gun blast which caused pellet wounds. The victim said while walking in the vicinity of Johnson Homes he heard gunshots and saw five black male subjects with bandanas covering their faces, two of which were armed. The victim said he felt a burning sensation all over and ran into a nearby apartment where he confirmed he had received injuries. Investigators are currently following several leads in this case and are asking anyone with information about the case or identity of the suspects to call the Dothan Police Department or CrimeStoppers 334-793-7000.
