On July 10th 2014 the Dothan Police Department made a felony arrest, following a yearlong investigation into an alleged burglary that occurred in the 100 block of Telford Place.

Investigators say 43-year-old Pamela Rutledge of Telford Place participated in a scheme to defraud USAA Insurance Company of over $25,000.00 after filing a false report in March of 2012 claiming her home had been burglarized. Throughout the course of the investigation, it was discovered that Rutledge had another individual rent a storage unit, which was used to hide the alleged stolen items.

Rutledge was arrested and charged with first degree Theft. A bond amount has been set at $5,000.00.

All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
