Dothan Man Gets 200 Years in Prison

A Dothan man has been sentenced to 200-years in prison on charges of kidnapping and armed robbery.
Houston County Circuit Court Judge Brad Mendheim Monday sentenced 21-year-old Justin Cortez Brown to 100 years in prison for armed robbery, and 100 years in prison for two kidnapping convictions stemming from an incident in late December.
Brown was arrested after breaking into a woman's apartment and forcing her and another man into a car at gunpoint. Prosecutors say he demanded the couple drive to an ATM and withdraw cash.
Authorities say the woman recognized Brown as a regular customer at a store one of her relatives worked at and identified him as the suspect.
