Dothan Man Arrested on Arson Charges

DOTHAN, AL - On January 3, 2014 the Dothan Police and Fire Department responded to 1604 Hodgesville Road in reference to a structure fire involving a residential trailer, which was stationed on the property. Upon extinguishing the fire, an immediate investigation began and it was determined the fire was suspicious in nature. The subsequent investigation was conducted by the Dothan Arson Task Force. The Task Force is comprised of members of the Dothan Fire Marshal’s Office and investigators from the Dothan Police Criminal Investigation Division.

After a thorough investigation, the Dothan Arson Task Force has now charged Joseph Livingston with second degree arson. Livingston was taken into custody on January 9, 2014 and his arrest now brings this case to a close.

• Joseph Lane Livingston, white male, 36 years of age, of Hodgesville Road was arrested and charged with second degree Arson. A bond amount has been set at $5,000.00. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
