On November 4, 2013 the Dothan Police Department responded to 1210 Ross Clark Circle in reference to an armed robbery.

Arriving officers made contact with the victim, a 60-year-old female, who told them a black male entered the business and demanded she give him money, while being held at knife-point.

The victim says she struggled with the suspect in an attempt to get away, but was overpowered and forced to open the cash register. The suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money prior to the officer’s arrival.

Investigators with the Dothan Police Departments Violent Crimes Unit immediately began working the case. Through information obtained and leads followed, investigators arrested 56-year-old Jesse Allen of Allen road, charging him with first degree Robbery. Allen’s arrest now brings this case to a close.

A bond will be determined and set at a later time. All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
