One of the busiest men in the North Pole made a special trip to Dothan Saturday morning.
Jolly ol’ Saint Nick.
And he came bringing one of the biggest gifts he could find.
“The downtown group sent a letter to Santa and Santa actually came down to our press conference to tell us he was bringing sledding this year so we were so glad to have that.” Downtown Group President Susan Wilkins said.
And residents say the sledding along with all of the vendors and rides, made it the perfect day to come spend time with the family.
“Just enjoying the events for the kids mostly, we got her and another small one so we are just going to try and enjoy the day it’s a good day.” Wiregrass resident Josh said.
And the children’s favorite part....
“Make snow angels.”
Matthew hill 10 “Just playing around in the snow having fun.” Wiregrass resident Matthew Hill said.
And while the kids were dodging snowballs, the adults got to shop and help out the local economy.
“It brings people in and when they are here they are going to buy.” Sweet Macy’s Owner Vader Compton said.
Each year it gets bigger and bigger so I have a feeling the kids and families love the event.
Kids who attended even got to send their Christmas wishes in a letter to Santa.
