UPDATE: Dothan Bank Robbery Suspect Identified

DOTHAN, AL - On September 25, 2013 the Dothan Police Department responded to Mid South Bank, located at 3776 Montgomery Highway, after receiving a report that a robbery had just occurred.

Upon arriving at the bank, officers quickly obtained information about the suspect, who was described as a black male wearing tan “coveralls”. An immediate search of the area was started when officers came into contact with Antonio Ousley in a wooded area close to the business. A continued search of the area Ousley was located in was done and clothing matching those worn by the suspect was found with his belongings.

Investigators now say they have identified Ousley as the suspect of this incident. Investigators say Ousley entered the business and advised one of the employees that he had a gun in his possession. Ousley showed the employee the handle of what was believed to be a gun before fleeing the business. No money was taken from the bank, but Ousley will be charged with first degree Robbery.

• Antonio Marshall Ousley, black male, 25 years of age, of Dothan, Alabama was arrested and charged with first degree Robbery. A bond will be established at a later time. All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.


UPDATE 10:16 A.M.

Dothan Police have apprehended the suspect in the bank robbery.

Bank surveillance shows the suspect waited outside for 20 minutes before the bank opened.

Police say the suspect told a teller he wanted to rob the bank. The teller reportedly thought he asked to open an account. Police say when she asked to see the suspect's drivers license, he fled.

Police caught him behind the Winn-Dixie shopping center on Westgate Avenue.
