Seminole County is recreating a piece of history.
But they can't do it without support from the community.
The Downtown Development Authority wants to create a replica of the old police station.
The replica will be on the north end of Woolfork Avenue, next to city hall.
Fundraising efforts include a womanless beauty pageant and a musical.
So far they've raised $3,700 but the station will cost $6,000.
"The Downtown Development Authority believes that it is important to restore downtown. Restore our history, it's a part of our past and a part of our integrity," Downtown Development Authority Chairman, Beverly Burke said.
Donations can be made to the City of Donalsonville's office.
