Disturbance Call Leads to Clayton County Shootout

Investigators said they got a call about a disturbance at a car dealership in Morrow about 6 p.m. Saturday.

Clayton County police arrived at Pars Car Sales and exchanged fire with a man outside the dealership.

Deborah Andrews, who works at the business, said she was ducking for her life.

She said the man came out of nowhere and started shooting at officers. They returned fire.

The man, who was not identified, was wounded and taken to an Atlanta hospital. No officers were injured.

Reports say a woman was meeting her ex-husband so he could return their 8-year-old daughter, and he started making alarming threats that resulted in the police call.
