Deadly Fire in Henry County

A deadly fire broke out around three o'clock this morning in Henry County and we have exclusive video from one of our viewers.

Garrett Leach was driving last night when he saw the flames through the trees and stopped to wake up the neighbors and call 9-1-1.
He shot this video as the fire consumed the house and truck.
Leach says seeing the fire upclose was stunning.
He just wanted to make sure the rest of the neighborhood was safe.

According to the Henry County cornor's office 47-year-old Joseph Drescher and his two pets died in that fire.
The home is destroyed.
Firefighters say when they arrived at the home on county road 103 ... The flames were so intense they called for extra help.

Dallas Shelly of Haleburg Fire Department:
"Headland gave us mutual aide, we fought the fire by outside only, and alabama fire marshalls were called in to investigate the fire.

Fire officials say the home's wooden structure was one of the factors that caused the fire to burn so rapidly.
