Day 16: Nadine Still Around, Re-Gaining Strength

The fifty-ninth advisory on the storm known as Nadine shows the long-running tropical system is regaining strength once more.

As of 4am Central Time, the National Weather Service indicated that Tropical Storm Nadine, now in its sixteenth day of being an active tropical cyclone, was about 700 miles south/southwest of the Azores Islands.

Winds inside the storm are now up to 60 miles an hour, and amazingly, it could become a hurricane in the next day or two.

While these strong winds to extend nearly 150 miles out from Nadine’s center, the storm still poses no threat to any land masses at this time.
