Shopping for school supplies can be a financial burden on many Wiregrass families....so one local organization decided to do something about it.
"Daughters of the King" is helping kids get the necessary school supplies they need during its first ever "Back-to-School Giveaway."
Free school supplies were given away at the Heritage United Methodist Church in Enterprise today.
Event coordinators say this Back-to-School Giveaway will help get students excited about school and help cash-strapped families.
The organization says they gave supplies to needy children.
