DRS Technologies, Inc.

Next Tuesday, Governor Robert Bentley and a delegation of state officials will take part in a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new aviation industry at the South Alabama regional airport between Opp and Andalusia. Beginning next year, North Carolina-based DRS Technologies will hire workers for aviation maintence positions. They'll be both civilian and military customers. South Alabama Regional's close proximity to Ft. Rucker and Eglin air force base played a big factor in locating here in Covington County..
