DDRA Moves Forward With Demolition Plans

The Dothan Downtown Redevelopment Authority is on a mission to revitalize the core of the Circle City. They met Thursday afternoon to discuss many topics, one being moving forward on the demolition of
the Saints Apartments and the Booker Building.

"The Nest" in downtown was also brought up as a possible joint effort between local radio station WWNT and the DDRA, to attract more people to the area. The group also proposed posting a "Welcome to Downtown Dothan" sign just off of Oates street that would cost about $7,500.

As far as the demolition, officials say it is expected to happen in two weeks or just a little later.
