Community Members and Elected Officials Collaborate to Update Ozark 2020 Plan

OZARK -- Community members and elected officials gathered at Carroll High School on Saturday for the Ozark 2020 meeting.

The Ozark 2020 plan is combination of visions, procedures and goals which the community hopes will guide them into the future.

During the meeting, the attendees split into seven different sessions including arts & entertainment, housing, healthcare, economic development, education, infrastructure and retail.

City leaders are going to use the community's input to form an updated plan an present it before the City Council at a later date.

Some of the areas which have already experienced improvement since the initial plan was devised in 1999 was the new Carroll High School, revitalization of downtown, more businesses on US 231 and major updates to the airport.
