The Ford Ranger pickup truck stopped by Conyers Police on Friday sits in front of Pine Street Elementary School with part of its load spread out on the ground. Police believe the materials found on the truck were to be used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine.
A meth lab was discovered in rural Coffee County after an unrelated warrant was served at a home in the Asbury community.
Deputies were there to arrest Jeffrey Scott Maddox on an unrelated charge when they found a working lab in a barbecue grill on the front porch.
Authorities say it contained chemicals used to make meth.
