MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) -- A Coffee County man has pleaded guilty to child pornography charges.
U.S. Attorney George L. Beck Jr. said on Friday that 48-year-old Lee Anthony Lovvorn admitted that he had downloaded child pornographic images from the internet. Lovvorn made his guilty plea on Wednesday.
Coffee County Sheriff's Department officers found a computer in Lovvorn's home that contained more than 9,000 images of children being abused and raped. The investigation of Lovvorn began in December 2009.
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children was able to identify the child victims in approximately 670 of the child pornography images that Lovvorn possessed.
