Coffee County Jail officials believe a new video teleconference system will ease the problem of inmate family and friends coming on weekends to visit.
Each cell in the jail has been equipped with a video phone system that connects with the visitation area.
Jail officials say it saves them time from having to remove inmates from secure locations to relatively insecure areas near their loved ones.
