Thanksgiving is one week from today. Tonight, more than 350 people enjoyed fellowship and a great meal at the annual coffee county farm-city banquet.
For nearly sixty years, the week leading up to Thanksgiving has been celebrated in communities and cities with events like farm-city. In the U.S. today, farmers account for less than one percent of the population. More than a dozen awards were presented including farm of distinction. It went to coy and Henry Patterson whose farm is outside of Kinston. Recently, Coffee County’s farm-city committee was rated number one in the state…
