Class Teaches Parents How to Keep Kids Safe from Predators

Friend Bank partnered with The Exchange Center for Child Abuse Prevention to host "Wolves Among Lambs," a class aimed at educating parents on child predators. The class focused on monitoring a child's online activity with websites such as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.

Pam Miles, Executive Director says a predator can be someone you least expect. "A lot of times, people who prey upon our children are people that are in our communities, sometimes well known in our communities. Sometimes they're in our homes, sometimes they're our neighbors."

The class also stressed the importance of talking to your child often and looking for any unusual behavior that may indicate sexual abuse.
