City of Dothan Pays for Violations of the “Clean Water Act” as Part of Settlement

The City of Dothan is paying a pretty penny for sewage overflows and other violations of the “Clean Water Act”.

The city will have to pay $264,000.

The penalties are a part of the city's settlement with the U.S. Department of Justice, the E.P.A, the State of Alabama and Alabama's Department of Environmental Management.

Tuesday the settlement was in U.S. District court for the Middle District of Alabama.

It will now to go final court approval.
