Cicadas Missing Wiregrass

After a 17-year absence, cicadas are back, but don't worry, they wont be serenading the Wiregrass this year.

The creatures will be rocking the East Coast from the Carolinas to Connecticut.

The sound of cicadas reach over 90-decibels, which is equivalent to a concert.

The bugs, while loud, do not harm humans. Over a course of four to six weeks, the cicadas mate, lay eggs and then disappear for another 17-years.
