Chipley, FL; April 18, 2013 - The Washington County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Vernon woman for aggravated battery following an incident of domestic violence on Hwy 79 in Vernon, FL.
On Wednesday, March 18th, at approximately 10:00 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office received a call from the victim reporting a domestic incident that resulted in the victim being severely cut by a scalpel.
Washington County EMS arrived within minutes and transported the victim to Bay Medical in Panama City, FL. The victim was listed in critical condition at press time.
Shortly before 11:00 p.m., WCSO investigators were contacted by officers with Holmes County Sheriff Office who were in contact with the suspect. The suspect had allegedly made contact with officials to report her role in the incident.
An arrest warrant was obtained and the suspect was taken into custody.
