The SOZO group had an informational meeting at the Dothan Opera House today.
They say their main goal was to keep local residents up-to-date on what they can expect from the symposium.
Officials from Alabama, Florida, and Georgia listened as the president of the SOZO group.
Raymond Cheng talked about the nearly 300 businesses that will be in Dothan next month.
There will be everything from recycling regeneration and alternative power companies to sewing machine businesses.
Dothan Mayor Mike Schmitz says he's excited about all the symposium has to offer and what it will mean for the Circle City.
"World renowned speakers come to our community, we're going to put on a great event, it's going to be a great cultural event as well and hopefully giving all of us an opportunity to create some jobs in our community."
Mayor Schmitz is heading back to China on February 17th.
He'll finalize details of the symposium and personally invite more businesses to Dothan.
