Child Advocacy Center Preparing for Blue Ribbon Campaign

Dothan, AL - The Southeast Alabama Child Advocacy Center is gearing up for its blue ribbon campaign.
Thursday, a volunteer luncheon was held at the center. It was a chance for people to learn more about what they do, tour the facility, and sign up to help with Blue Ribbon Campaign events.
"It's an opportunity for them to come in and for us to talk about the services we provide. We also talk about the opportunities they have to help us, but the main thing is to thank them. We live and die by volunteers," said Sherryl Walker, Executive Director of the Southeast Alabama Child Advocacy Center.
They've served more than 12,000 victims in about two decades. April is National Child Abuse Prevention month. This will be the 19th year the center has participated in the blue ribbon campaign.
