Change your Clock, Change your Battery

This Saturday night, the Dothan Fire Department wants you to remember to change your smoke alarm battery when you set your clock back.

Officials say the 9 volt battery inside a smoke alarm is supposed to last a little more than six months.

Getting into a routine of changing it can save your life.

If you live in Dothan and don't have a smoke alarm in your home, you can call 615-3473.

The Fire Department will call you back and schedule a time to install a smoke alarm for you.
