Carver Magnet School will be transformed into Middle Earth next week thanks to some help from the Southeast Alabama Community Theater.
More than 80 students have been working since January to put on the school's second production of "Lord of the Rings," but it's their work ethic and community involvement that's really making a difference this time around.
Proceeds from the play's public performance will benefit St Jude's Hospital and to a charity which helps exploited girls.
The public performance will be held at the school on Thursday, April 17. Tickets are available at the door and cost $3 for non-students and $1 for students.
