Car Crash Kills Pike County Man

A single-vehicle crash claimed the life of a Goshen man Tuesday evening.

Three others were injured.

The crash occurred at 6:10 p.m. on Pike County Road 2243 two miles east of Goshen.

State Troopers say Willie Earl Taylor, 54, was a passenger in a 1990 Nissan Maxima driven by Antony Earl Finney Jr., 21, of Troy.

Troopers say Finney lost control of his vehicle, ran off the roadway, overturned and struck two unoccupied vehicles.

Taylor, who was not wearing a seat belt, was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.

Finney and two other passengers were transported to Troy Regional Medical Center where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Although circumstances surrounding the crash are still under investigation, state troopers say speed was a factor.
