FORT WALTON BEACH, FL - Deputies responding to a call of a burglary in progress Wednesday night caught a man inside the convenience store with a hammer, flashlight, screwdriver and gloves.

The doors were locked, the power was off, and a window was broken at the Corner Food Market at 100 Bob Sikes Boulevard when deputies arrived around eleven p.m.

They found a hole in the wall between two inside units and 45- year old David Eugene Vaughn hiding inside.

Vaughn is charged with burglary and possession of burglary tools.

Deputies are investigating whether or not Vaughn is connected to a rash of other area burglaries.
