The city of Brundidge has filed a lawsuit to stop Coffee County from buying a landfill.
It's because it's located within city limits.
Earlier this month ... The Coffee County Commission agreed to spend several million dollars on its purchase.
Right now the landfill is closed because of bankruptcy.
An attorney for Brundidge says the town can't afford to allow an outside government agency to operate the landfill.
Coffee County officials would not comment on the suit.
