Brantley Beats McIntosh at South Regional Basketball Tournament

The Brantley Bulldogs have seen plenty of the McIntosh Demons in recent years. McIntosh had eliminated the Bulldogs from the playoffs in each of the last three seasons.

On Wednesday, Brantley ended that streak, beating McIntosh 53-40 in the 1A Regional Semifinals of the South Regional Tournament. With the win, Brantley advanced to face the winner of Geneva County and St. Luke's for the 1A Regional Title on Saturday.

Brantley led by two points at halftime, and steadyily pulled extended that lead in the second half. Amahni Upshaw scored 20 points and Peyton Hill added 11, all in the second half, helping Brantley advance to the Regional Final.

Amber Roberts led McIntosh with 17 points. The Demons end they year with 13-8 record.
