Bonifay Man Arrested in Slocomb Hit & Run

SLOCOMB, AL - On Friday, January 25, 2013, The Slocomb Police Department was dispatched for B.O.L.O. (Be on the Look Out) for a late model gray in color Nissan Altima driven by a white male that was engaged in a hit and run traffic collision on Alabama 52 West. The vehicle was spotted heading West into the Slocomb City limits by Chief Don White. Chief White attempted to pull vehicle over and vehicle failed to pull over and accelerated down 52 West and attempted to evade Slocomb Police Units. Suspect vehicle turned down MLK BLVD and across Alabama 52 and onto Kelly Street South, suspect then turned right onto Geneva County Road 28 and crossed Alabama State 103. Suspect vehicle then turned left into oncoming traffic on Railroad Avenue. Slocomb Police Units was able to stop suspect vehicle at this location.

Arrested was Zachary Maize Andrews from Bonifay, Florida. Subject was charged with several traffic citations and arrested on local charges of Attempting to Elude and was wanted for Parole Violation from Holmes County Florida. More local charges are pending.
