DEMOPOLIS, Ala. (AP) -- Police in Demopolis say they're working to help identify a body that was pulled from a river.
Reports say that a boater saw the body in the river around 12:30 p.m. Sunday. Police say the body will be taken to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences in Montgomery for an autopsy. Information on the person's approximate age and gender wasn't immediately available.
Police Chief Tommie Reese is asking the community to keep the person's family in their prayers.
Demopolis is about 58 miles south of Tuscaloosa.
