Boating Accident Claims Life in Miami

MIAMI (AP) -- Miami Fire-Rescue says a 27-year-old man has died after his personal watercraft collided with a boat in Biscayne Bay.

Fire-Rescue spokesman Ignatius Carroll says a Sea Tow operator noticed the commotion in the water late Sunday.

The man was not breathing.

According to Carroll, it appeared that the man had been riding a personal watercraft that had collided with a 22-foot-long boat carrying a family of five on board. No other injuries were reported.

The Sea Tow operator took the injured man to shore where several people attempted to revive him before Fire-Rescue arrived. Carroll says the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man's name was not immediately released.
