Black Fireball New Year's Eve Tradition

It may be the most unusual New Year’s Eve tradition in not only the wiregrass..., but the entire world. Along the Geneva-Holmes county line..., residents of black toss fireballs at each other. The hand woven balls are soaked in kerosene. The flaming ball is held for around a second before being released. The town's tradition dates back to depression days when folks didn't have money for firecrackers…
