Bingo Trial Set for Aug. 5

The Attorney General’s office is asking a judge to decide the case against Center Stage South of Dothan before it is scheduled to go to trial next month.

A motion for summary judgment filed by State Prosecutors asks Judge Michael Conaway to declare that they seizure of nearly 700 electronic Bingo machines and more than $280,000 in July of last year was lawful.

The state includes a list of evidence in the motion, including video of undercover officers playing on the machines.

Attorneys for the Bingo Operation content that the raid was illegal. The case is scheduled to go to trial on Aug. 5 at the Houston County Courthouse.

Judge Michael Conaway is expected to rule on the latest motion before that date.
