Bay Co. Sheriff's Wilderness Camps

The Bay County Sheriff’s Office will conduct two Wilderness Camps this summer for boys ages 12 to 17 that reside in Bay County. Each camp is limited to 25 boys.

The BCSO Wilderness Camp is a five day/four night stay in cabins located at the Bay County Sheriff’s Office campground off JD Nolin Road in Fountain. Attendees will interact with camp staff consisting of School Resource Deputies, civilian counselors, and trained medical personnel to learn positive attitudes and behaviors. Camp staff will focus on teaching positive decision making, peer mediation, and proper communication skills.

Activities include swimming, archery safety and competition, survival skills, fishing, and sports.

The camp is completely funded by the Bay County Sheriff’s Office therefore no expense is incurred by the parent/guardian or camper.

Registration is now open to attend the 2013 Bay County Sheriff’s Office Wilderness Camp. Registration forms can be picked up at the front desk of the BCSO or printed from the BCSO website at www.bayso.org.
