B.C. Rain Beats Carroll 65-63 at South Regional Tournament

Denisha McKenzie hit a baseline jumper with 20 seconds to play, lifting B.C. Rain past Carroll 65-63 in Girls Regional Semifinal action at the Dothan Civic Center. With the win, the Raiders advanced to the South Regional Final on Friday against the winner of Faith Academy and Russell County.

After McKenzie's jumper, the Eagles turned the ball over. B.C. Rain was able to run out the final eight seconds on the clock to secure the win.

The Raiders led 28-24 at halftime, behind hot shooting from Kierra Jackson, who led all scorers with 10 points. Jaquis Cooks had a team-high 17 points and 12 rebounds for B.C. Rain, ahead of 14 points for Jackson and 13 for Kaylyn Willie.

Brittany Moore had a monster game for Carroll, with 24 points and 16 rebounds, including 15 points and 10 boards after halftime. Carroll ends it's season with a 26-6 record.
