Authorities are warning residents of a scam.
Scammers are calling telling individuals that their card has been compromised. Scammers transfer you to “security” or ask to “verify information.”
These calls appear as "800" numbers or a local exchange number.
Authorities say if you get one of these calls, hang up and contact your card issuer directly.
