UPDATE: Coroner Confirms Victim in Friday Night's Motorcyle Crash is Dead

UPDATE: May 31, 2014 -- The man who was killed in a motorcycle crash Friday night has been identified as 22-year-old Garrett Parker.
UPDATE: Houston County Coroner Robert Byrd confirms the victim in Friday night's motorcycle crash is dead.

It is also confirmed he was in the military.

The name has not yet been released as officials have not notified the family at this time.
Police are investigating a police pursuit that turned into a single-vehicle crash.

Officials say the motorcyclist crashed into a pole during the pursuit. Multiple jurisdictions attempted to stop the rider including Headland and Midland City officers.

"They clocked him at an excess of 130 miles an hour.
He turned around, tried to initiate a traffic stop, the motorcycle rider ignored all attempts to stop him, he failed to yield," said Lieutenant Todd David of Dothan Police.

Witnesses at the scene say the man went through two signs and and then crashed into a pole. The identity of the man has not been released.
