Author Reads to Highlands Elementary

Students at highlands elementary school in Dothan, had a special guest today.
Author parker Holmes writes books about b-c-s championship games, and football teams like the Alabama crimson tide and auburn tigers.
This morning Holmes read some of his books to 3rd, 4th and 5th graders.
He also shared some of his experiences meeting different coaches.
"How did lane Bryant get his nickname?”
“By wrestling a bear.”
“That’s right. When he was a little boy he was given a dollar a minute to wrestle a circus bear. Would you wrestle a bear for a dollar?”
“No."

Holmes also talked to the students about publishing, and how he wrote his football books.
