Atlanta to Host Expo for the Disabled

ATLANTA (AP) -- Thousands of people with disabilities, their caregivers, wounded veterans and others are expected to converge on the Georgia World Congress Center for the annual Atlanta Abilities Expo.

Lara says complimentary loaner scooters, wheelchair repair and a power chair charging station will be available during the expo.

In a release, event Spokeswoman Kevaleen Lara says the expo will feature exhibits, workshops and more for people with physical, learning, developmental and sensory disabilities.

President and CEO of the expo David Korse says the event is meant to connect disabled people with life-enhancing products and services.

The event is being held February 8 through 10 and admission is free.
