The Ashford Police Department is getting some new digs.
After a flood displacing the Police Department, they moved to a building under emergency leasing.
Today the department moved into their new home, a city owned building at 303 Adams Street.
The Chief of Police says the only change besides the building is Houston County 911 will be handling their dispatching.
He assures Ashford none of their emergency services will be interrupted.
"As of right now everything is up and rolling smooth. Other than we've got to get moved into the facility, it doesn't look like much now but I hope it'll be something in the near future to see and Ashford citizens will be proud of," said Ashford Chief of Police.
Next week they hope to be completely moved in and have the administrative office open for business.
