Arrests Made in Christmas Eve Armed Robbery
Suspects charged Friday (1/6) in Christmas Eve armed robbery at a convenience store on US 231 in Troy according to information released by Chief Jimmy Ennis.

Suspects charged Friday (1/6) in Christmas Eve armed robbery at a convenience store on US 231 in Troy according to information released by Chief Jimmy Ennis.
Arrest warrants have been obtained for robbery first degree on three subjects in connection withthis crime. They are identified as Craigory Njua Newsome-Baker, 18-year-old black male from Banks and Rashaun Thomas, 17-year-old black male from Troy. The third suspect is not in custody at this time.
Robbery first degree is a class A felony and a juvenile 16-years-old or older charged with this crime will be tried as an adult.
Newsome-Baker and Thomas have been transferred to the Pike County Jail. Their bonds have been set at $100,000.00 each in connection with this case.
TPD received a call at approximately 3:00 am 12/24 in connection with an alleged armed robbery that occurred at the Z-Tech convenience store at Sanders Road. A black male suspect entered the store and demanded money from the clerk at gunpoint.
An undisclosed amount of money was taken during the robbery. No one was injured during the incident.
This case is still under investigation by the Troy Police Department.
Chief Ennis advised this is the result of excellent police work by TPD detectives and officers.
