UPDATE: Armed Robbery Suspect Identified, Police Describe as Dangerous

The suspect is identified as Kenneth Wood, Jr. He's 40-years-old and from Smyrna, Delaware.

He is an escaped convict wanted on sex charges. Police say he has a history of violent behavior.

Authorities say Wood has ditched the truck he stole from Covington County in Taylor County, FL. They say he robbed a convenience store in the town of Perry around 2:30 a.m.

Authorities say since then, Wood has ditched three other vehicles.

Wood was last seen near Cross City in Dixie County, FL.

Police say if you see him, do not approach him. They say you should consider him armed and dangerous. Call your nearest law enforcement agency immediately.


Police in Holmes and Geneva County are looking for an armed robbery suspect.
Police say a man robbed the Inland store in Geneva and a Quickway in Hartford.
He was reportedly using a black, semi-automatic handgun.
He was seen wearing blue jeans, a blue under shirt with a plaid shirt on top, a black toboggan, and black shoes.
Police say he is approximately 6 feet tall and around 200-215 pounds and in his 30's to 40's.
He is possibly driving a tan or silver GMC or Chevrolet pickup truck with a silver toolbox.
