Twenty-nine people have been displaced after an apartment fire near Tampa.

Hillsborough County Fire Rescue units responded to the Harbour Walk apartments in the Town `n' Country area on Saturday.

Firefighters say heavy flames were already tearing through the upstairs and downstairs apartment units when they arrived.

Additional firefighters were called to the scene to help.

The blaze was extinguished within 25 minutes.

More than two dozen people from eight units have been left without a home.

Officials say the apartments are a total loss.

No injuries to firefighters or residents were reported.

Two dogs were rescued and one provided with oxygen after smoke exposure.

The Red Cross is helping families find shelter, food and clothing.
