An area man travels overseas and comes back to a devastating situation.

He left his three horses in the care of Tanya Sessions.

Police say she didn't feed or take care of the animals.

When the man came back, one of the horses was dead and the other two were malnourished.

The Troy Police Department says in no way were they prepared to deal with something like this, but they're making the best of it.

Police arrested sessions and she posted bail earlier today.

Officials say the next step in this case is taking it to court.
