2:22am UPDATE - According to CBS Affiliate WTSP in Tampa via CBS Newspath:

Madeira Beach, Florida-- Detectives have found Joshua Hakken's 2006, GMC pickup truck abandoned in the John's Pass Parking Garage, Hillsborough Sheriff's deputies announced Thursday night.

Detectives believed Hakken was using the truck to transport his two sons, 4-year-old Cole and 2-year-old Chase, after he kidnapped them from their grandmother's home early Wednesday morning.

Very little information has been released at this time, but officials have said Hillsborough County Sheriff's detectives and crime scene technicians are currently processing the truck.

Florida authorities have issued an Amber Alert after a Tampa couple allegedly kidnapped their own children.

Authorities say the couple tied up the two kids' grandmother and stole her car. The car was later found abandoned.

The kids, Chase and Cole Hakken, had been placed in the grandmother's custody.

The grandmother says their father, Joshua Hakken, tied her up Wednesday morning. His wife, Sharyn, is believed to be with them, as well.

Deputies say the couple should be considered armed and dangerous.

They may be traveling in a 2006 black GMC pickup with Florida tag U95KT.

Investigators are not sure where the family is heading. If you've seen them, contact your nearest law enforcement agency.
