Moving images of trains and other objects were beamed onto a large wall at J-R Tokyo Station on Friday night, ahead of the building's grand reopening next month.
The light show was created with 46 projectors using state-of-the-art technology.
It opened to media as part of a rehearsal for two weekend performances.
The train station's Marunouchi Building has undergone renovations to restore it to its original state of a century ago.
